A Jewel at the Heart of Grand Bas-Armagnac

In the southwest of France, nestled between the gentle hills of Gascony and the pine forests of the Landes, lies a place where time seems to stand still: Mauléon-d’Armagnac. Here, at the very heart of the Grand Bas-Armagnac appellation, our estate flourishes—a terroir celebrated for producing the most refined Armagnacs. Our property, ever-growing, now spans more than 100 hectares of vineyards, woodland, heath, and meadows—a mosaic of landscapes typical of Bas-Armagnac. But more than a vineyard estate, it is a living project, rooted in history, land, and passion.

A Singular Terroir

The Bas-Armagnac appellation is the westernmost of the three Armagnac-producing regions, stretching across parts of the Gers and the Landes between Nogaro, Eauze, and Villeneuve-de-Marsan. The majority of the appellation’s production is concentrated here. At its very heart lies the Grand Bas-Armagnac, a central area within Bas-Armagnac, revered by connoisseurs as the soul of the appellation. Its uniqueness comes from its famed “sables fauves”—ochre-hued soils rich in clay, silica, and iron oxide. Light, draining, and warm, these soils compel the vines to dig deep, giving the grapes remarkable aromatic complexity. The climate is gentle and balanced. Protected from extremes by the Pyrenees to the south and softened by the ocean’s influence, this region enjoys a slow and even ripening—ideal for producing eaux-de-vie of distinction.

A Village of Traditions

Located between Nogaro and Cazaubon, Mauléon-d’Armagnac is a discreet village with a rich viticultural heritage. Here, winemakers, distillers, and coopers have shaped a culture of vines and Armagnac for centuries. Our estate is part of this living tradition. Generations before us tended these vines with patience, selecting the finest plots and cultivating them with artisanal care. Today, we carry that mission forward, marrying this local heritage with a long-term vision.

A Domaine in Renewal

Our estate is undergoing a profound transformation. While honoring ancestral know-how, we are restructuring plots, rebalancing grape varieties, and restoring the ambition this land deserves. We now cultivate more than 100 hectares, most planted to vines:

Baco 22A

the king of Bas-Armagnac, perfectly adapted for long aging.

Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Folle Blanche

bringing richness and complexity to blends.

Sauvignon Blanc, Petit et Gros Manseng, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon

cultivated for our IGP Côtes de Gascogne wines.

We tend the vines throughout the year, with constant attention to grape quality. Our goal is clear: to produce the finest grapes possible, because the quality of Armagnac begins first and foremost in the vineyard. To achieve this, we employ precise and thoughtful agricultural practices—from gentle winter pruning to close observation of the growing cycle, and harvesting at optimal ripeness. We have also undertaken important work to support biodiversity: grass-covered rows, hedgerows, wooded areas, and plant cover all contribute to the natural balance of the estate. Soil health, microbial life, and vine balance are at the heart of our viticultural philosophy. Through this attentive and sustainable approach, we strive for excellence from the very first parcel.

Mastery from Vine to Glass

Our strength lies in complete control of the production chain. We cultivate, vinify, distill on-site in our own traditional Armagnac alambic, and age in our semi-underground cellars.

Each cuvée rests in carefully chosen Gascon oak barrels. Every stage—evaporation, topping up, slow oxygenation—is monitored with patience. From classic blends to single casks, vintages, and barrel strength editions, our aim remains constant: to express the truth of the terroir.

Our Style

The eaux-de-vie of our estate are marked by fine structure, aromatic precision, and length on the palate. They embody the rare balance of Grand Bas-Armagnac: fruit-driven yet elegant, powerful yet refined, with remarkable aging potential.

Behind every cask lies a harvest, a wine, a meticulous distillation, a well-chosen oak, and years of patient care. For us, excellence lives in consistency and mastery of detail.

A Sustainable Ambition

We are investing in our tools, in replanting, and in welcoming guests to the estate. We believe Armagnac has a role to play in the renaissance of great French spirits, particularly for a new generation of enthusiasts curious about meaning and origin.

Our estate aspires to be exemplary: rooted, accessible, sincere. We aim to share the history of the place, the daily gestures, and the slow, magical passage of time over our eaux-de-vie.

Our estate is not just a vineyard—it is a home for ideas, savoir-faire, and convictions. Anchored in the Bas-Armagnac, at the heart of one of Gascony’s noblest zones, it carries a promise: an Armagnac that is alive, radiant, and deeply rooted.

Walking through our cellars, wandering the vines, or sharing a glass with our team, one quickly understands that every bottle tells a story. Of a rare land, a farming community, a human project. And above all, a return to the essential.

Welcome to our home.
